Trumpeter 03203 F-14D Super Tomcat Fighter 1/32 Scale Model Kit A supersonic aircraft, the Grumman F-14 Tomcat twin-engine fighter seats two crew members: an aviator and a Radar Intercept Officer. The Tomcat has operated only with the US Navy and the Islamic Republic of Iran. The nickname Tomcat stems from the call sign of Vice Admiral Thomas Connolly, who ascribed to the USN’s tradition of naming Grumman aircraft with feline monikers. This model faithfully recreates the F-14D, the final version of the Tomcat fighter. The kit contains 583 parts; the finished model is 59.5cm long and 61.1cm wide.
