(NATO code-named “Luyang II”) Commissioned in 2004, the LanZhou features an APAR-style active phased array radar system and vertically launched HQ-9 naval version long-range air defense missile system. This class represents China’s first true fleet air defense capability. Kit consists of 325 parts on 11 sprues, with photo etched mast parts and markings for the Chinese PLA Navy, Haikou of the South Sea Fleet.
