Neovisions is the third installment in Cyril Roland’s Simulacres series. It is fully compatible with Cybercommando and Technospace. A glossary at the end explains all the terms used, and a summary of the Simulacres rules is provided. Starting in 1959, a group of nations launched a top-secret experimental cybernetics research center. In the late 1990s, a new phase of the PRCH (Program for Cybernetic Research on Humans) began, the 8th, to create cybernetic agents specializing in virtual travel. Since the PRCH’s central computer started creating its own virtual worlds, entire universes are constantly being born: medieval-apocalyptic planets, prehistoric jungles teeming with dinosaurs. Sometimes, agents get trapped in the matrix of these imaginary universes, and the goal is to retrieve them before they succumb to a fatal brain death. A cyberpunk universe heavily influenced by the futuristic visions of the early 1980s. A refreshingly vintage role-playing game.
