Tamiya is pleased to announce the updated reissue of the 1/24 scale Ford Zakspeed Capri Turbo (originally released in 1979, then motorized) with new Cartograf decals, an updated instruction manual, and updated packaging. The DRM (German Motor Racing Championship) comprised two separate classes based on engine displacement: 2,000 cc and above, and below 2,000 cc. The Ford Zakspeed Capri Turbo was a car that competed against the BMW 320 Turbo. It made its debut at the eighth DRM race at Hockenheim in the summer of 1978 and featured an extremely low nose, a wide body, and flashy markings with red and yellow accents on a black background. This car regularly battled at the front and achieved its first victory at the Nürburgring Spring Race in October 1978. The following year, it finished second in the inaugural DRM race at Zolder and won the second race at Hockenheim. • 1/24 scale. Length: 210 mm, width: 86 mm, height: 51 mm. • The extremely low nose and wide shape are faithfully reproduced. • The cockpit with roll cage is realistically depicted. • The wheels are fitted with aerodynamic discs and synthetic rubber slick tires. • Comes with high-quality Cartograf decals and a driver figure.
