Functional model to assemble. The mechanism of this clock is based on a design sketched by Leonardo da Vinci. The clock uses the weight of the pendulum as a power source.

The power depends on the design of the horizontally rotating pendulum. The speed of the clock is controlled by the weight and swing of the pendulum. The functional clock can be mounted on a wall or on its base as shown in the picture.

Leonardo da Vinci was an Italian artist and scientist, born during the Renaissance and appreciated as the most brilliant inventor and “industrial” designer of his time. His work was a precursor to many aspects of modern technology and science.
